Den øgede tilflytning til Ballerup Kommune skaber behov for nye institutionspladser. I den sammenhæng har Ballerup Kommune valgt at etablere Børnehuset på Platanbuen.Børnehuset opføres som et byggeri i to etager på ca. 2030 m2 med plads til 160 børn med tilhørende personale.Byggeriet skal være DGNB-guld certificeret.
