- The purpose of the purchase is to support the establishment of new research facilities for a new research initiative AEGIS funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation. We have screened the market for a suitable technology for more than 5 years and found no alternative technology that meets our needs. We have conducted experiments using alternative technology, with no satisfactory results. The MMI technology has shown promise in our pilot experiments. Given the previous experience with alternative technologies, we are confident that this is the only supplier in the world that meets our specific needs. Therefore, it is a technical reason, where it will be technically impossible for another tenderer to ensure the required implementation.
