- The purpose of the equipment to study optical properties of materials at low temperature, with high level of control, stability and repeatability. The cryostat needs to run continuously (>6 months) and provide a fast sample exchange option, allowing samples to be mounted in a daily basis. attocube is the only provider that sells all parts needed for the equipment being ordered: 1) precision closed loop nanopositioning stages, 2) 3-axis vector magnets, 3) 1.5K base temperature. We have developed extensive software interfaces to attocube cryostats previously purchased by the Photonics Team at NQCP (with Stefano Paesani as team leader). By continuing to use attocube as a provider, we will 1) save a significant amount of time and resources by using the already developed software, 2) be able to share parts between different models, maximizing equipment uptime and experimental flexibility. Lastly, attocube is the only provider that ensures the nanometer scale vibration requirements for the experiments

## Description

We are purchasing a closed-cycle cryostat dedicated to quantum photonics experiments. The experiments require free-space optical access in the infra-red optical regime (900-1700nm), low temperatures (1.5K), vector magnets, DC and RF electrical lines to the sample space, nano-scale positioners for moving the sample inside the cryostat, and up to nanometre-scale vibration stability
