### Award Criterion Descriptions

- Specific requirements: 1. High resolution GC Mass Spectrometer with MS/MS capability. 2. First mass filter must be a heated Quadrupole, and second mass filter must be a time-of-flight tube 3. Mass accuracy should be <2 ppm RMS. 4. Mass Resolution should be >25,000 and must be independent of acquisition rate 5. Acquisition rate must be from 1 hz to 50 hz and must be independent of mass resolution 6. Enough sensitivity should be there at lower energy also to perform Low energy EI analysis 7. EPC resolution should be 0.001 psi to be able to perform precise retention time locking 8. The elemental analyzer instrument should make use of a single, dynamically heated gas separation column for CO2 and SO2 superior separation of post-combustion gases. It should be possible to analyse nitrogen, carbon and sulfur isotopes from a single organic sample within 10 minutes. The system should not require any tools for routine maintenance with all operations able to be done by hand whilst guaranteeing leak tightness. 9. The IRMS instrument should offer a 100V amplifier as standard providing a 1000 fold working beam size allowing a large range of elemental ratios to be analysed during a single acquisition. It should occupy the smallest possible instrument footprint to preserve laboratory space. The IRMS vacuum chamber must be entirely constructed from 316L stainless steel utilising vacuum welding techniques for the highest vacuum purity and fastest pump down times. The IRMS Instrument should use non-metal, vacuum sealing gaskets which do not deform the sealing face and that can be re-used.

## Description

Purchase a Green House Gas Elemental Analyzer Gas Chromatography Combustion quadropol Time of Flight Isotopic Ratio Mass Spectrometry (GHG-EA-GC-C-qTOF-IRMS) for the accurate identification of stable isotopic ratio and qualification and quantification of thousands of carbon and nitrogen containing compounds, that play a crucial role in ecological interactions in the agricultural environment.
