## Description

The NovaSeq X Plus is a high-throughput sequencer offering rapid run times, up to 16 Tb data output or 52 billion single reads per run, and high read quality (≥ 90% of bases above Q30). It provides flexibility with various flow cell formats and read length configurations, and they come in a single kit format. The sequencer supports automated lane loading for up to eight lanes per flow cell and includes a built-in bioinformatic software and hardware for processing raw sequence data into aligned files, enabling faster bioinformatic workflows. The purchase of a NovaSeq X plus is an upgrade of the existing sequencer from Illumina and will replace the older Illumina NovaSeq6000 and NextSeq500. This upgrade is a critical improvement to our facility.
