## Description

The purpose is to acquire a state-of-the-art Multi-Sensor Core Logger (MSCL-S) for performing non-destructive optical, geophysical (P-wave velocity, porosity, and density), and geochemical analyses of sediment and rock cores. Our sediment cores range from 10 – 150 cm in length and from 70 – 125 mm in diameter. The instrument should be able to be installed in our laboratories at university, but also packed up and installed on research vessels during extended marine sampling campaigns.
