Impact Fund Denmark (IFDK) is a Copenhagen-based organisation operating across multiple regions. Its people depend on timely access to news, policies, tools, and each other to deliver on the organisation’s mission. The intranet is a core part of the digital workplace and a primary channel for internal communication, knowledge sharing, and employee services.

IFDK’s current intranet runs on an on-premises SharePoint platform. The platform has served the organisation but is increasingly costly to maintain, harder to evolve, and disconnected from the modern Microsoft 365 experience that employees use every day.

Key challenges include:
Ageing on-premises infrastructure and third-party components that are expensive and complex to maintain.
Limited integration with the modern Microsoft 365.
An information architecture that has grown organically and no longer reflects how people work or find information.
Inconsistent content quality, ownership, and lifecycle governance.
A user experience that is not fully responsive, personalised, or accessible by current standards.

IFDK will wants a new, modern intranet – internally named CONNECT – built on SharePoint Online within Microsoft 365.
