The purpose of a Stone Bed construction is to ensure sufficient strength of the seabed for the WTG Installation vessel to jack-up safely. On the BKR02 project the jack-up vessel Bold Tern (Fred Olsen Wind Carrier) will be used for loading the WTGs at Virgokaj quay 805 – 806 in Esbjerg harbour, Denmark. The Contractor is appointed to act as responsible for the construction and monitoring activities ensuring that the Stone Bed design defined by Contractor for the design of the Stone Bed, is followed and the operations related to the Works are performed safely, to recognized codes and standards and within acceptable risk levels.
