Beskrivelse
DALO is in the process of renewing the fleet of Danish Coastal Rescue Service (DCRS) rescue vessels. A part of the renewal program is the acquisition of seven fast rescue vessels called “Danish Rescue Vessel” (DRV). This tender for seven new DRV’s shall include the use of a proven hull design to be adapted into vessels capable of high speeds and with superior sea keeping capabilities. This means that the base design of a proven hull design is expected to be included into the design of the new rescue vessels and be documented to provide a good foundation to complete the design in cooperation with DALO after signing the contract. This also means that novel and unproven hull designs or the inclusion of a completely novel hull design as part of the project is not within the scope of this tender. The DRV’s are intended to conduct search and rescue operations in all occurring weather conditions in Kattegat and the Baltic Sea, meaning high sea state as they appear in these areas (up to Douglas Sea Scale sea state 7). The DRV’s are expected to be fast and capable units with a high top speed and performance in a high sea state. The vessel type shall be self-righting with a positive stability from 0° – 180° in scenarios with e.g. damaged wheelhouse and intact hull, among other. The hull shall be built of a marine grade welded aluminum alloy construction or composite sandwich, and should be 18-22 meters. The hull structure and structure of wheelhouse/superstructure (including windows, doors and hatches) shall be designed and build to a strength level that ensures the safety of the vessel when operating in rough weather conditions. (sea state 7). The safety level built into the vessels shall be extraordinarily high to provide a safe, reliable, relevant and modern working environment for the crews. The vessel skal be equipped with a propulsion system with waterjet and IMO TIER III, or similar. The engines should be designed for capsizing events, and speed in excess of 35 kn. The base operational crew will consist of four (4) people, but can be boosted to five (5) people, while minimum safe manning will be two (2) people. The DRV’s are intended to perform the following operations: • Search and Rescue (SAR). • On Scene Coordinator (OSC). • Evacuation of patients and/or distressed persons. • Pumping assistance. • Towing operations. • Firefighting. • Support to other Government authorities. Seven (7) initial packages of spare parts and other items (one for each DRV) and one (1) spare parts package is also a part of the delivery. Documentation and training will also be a part of the delivery. The DRV shall be registered under Danish flag and therefore be approved and certified by the Danish Maritime Administration (DMA).
