Robotic Combat Vehicles

This is a Request For Information (RFI). The Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) is considering a future capacity of Robotic Combat Vehicles (RCV's). Therefore DALO are interested to look into the posibilities for borrowing some RCV’s for a trial. In connection with this, DALO would like to enter into a dialogue with the market so DALO can obtain information about the possibilities and restrictions on the market. - The modern battlefield is constantly developing in pace with new technological advancements. DALO wishes to examine means to elevate the use of remote controlled land-bases platforms in the army. DALO finds remote controlled land-based platforms attractive as a concept, to reduce threats to the soldiers on the ground and as a force multiplier. Remote controlled applications is a known technology and there are in principle no restrictions on what can be controlled remotely. Remote control requires operating personnel and a companion vehicle that must be able to remedy errors, minor breakdowns and recharge the RCV. DALOs overall knowledge of the market in terms of a RCV is not concrete enough for final decisions. However, it is expected that the market for remote controlled land-based platforms can be introduced into the operational environment within a few years. DALO requires the potential RCV to be able to support reconnaissance and armored combat units with the armament of a 35mm cannon and ATGM. The platform is required to achieve similar mobility properties to a CV9035 IFV. The platform is to be controlled from a different armored platform at a distance of about 3-5 kilometers.
