Market dialogue - Refurbishment and partial replacement of bearings on the Great Belt Link (West Bridge)

The project involves refurbishment and partial replacement of 170 bridge bearings on the West Bridge that is part of the Great Belt Link in Denmark. The project involves two parallel concrete bridges – one for rail and one for road. The bridges have now been in service for well over 25 years and the service life of the bearings is nearing the end. The project comprises substantial work above open waters and includes the handling of bridge bearings with a weight between 5 and 8 tonnes. It is expected that the bearings will have to be taken to land for refurbishment. *** As part of the preparation for a coming tender regarding the project mentioned above, A/S Storebælt would like to invite potential contractors/candidates to a market dialogue. The purpose of the market dialogue is to gather information and engage in a dialogue on how to best structure the tender to ensure that the technical requirements can be fulfilled by the contractors. The dialogue will be held as a two-step dialogue. The first dialogue meeting will be held as a meeting where all interested candidates can participate. The meeting will be held 20 June 2024 at 2:00 PM and will approximately be 1,5 hours. The meeting will take place on Microsoft Teams. A link for the meeting will be provided by A/S Storebælt to all interested parties. At the first meeting the participants will receive an introduction to the project and the preliminary plan for the project developed by A/S Storebælt. Also, the practical boundaries of the project, allowable disturbance of the traffic (rail and road), time frame and planned rail closures will be presented. After the first dialogue meeting A/S Storebælt will publish a list of questions to the participants. The second dialogue meeting will be held as individual meetings with the participants at A/S Storebælt, Storebæltsvej 70, 4220 Korsør, Denmark. If the participants cannot attend the meeting at the address, it will be possible to attend the meeting on Microsoft Teams. At the second meeting the participants will be offered a visit to the West Bridge in order to get a firsthand impression of the surroundings, the available space on the pillars, the bearings, etc. The agenda for the second meeting will be the questions from A/S Storebælt and the participants answers. The second meeting will be held on the following dates: 2 - 5 September 2024. *** All candidates who would like to participate in the market dialogue should reply via eu-supply preferably no later than 13 June 2024. Reply should be sent through the "Message" function in eu-supply. The reply should be in Danish or English and should contain information on the following: - Name and National Registration Number of the candidate's company - Contact person, email and phone - List of references where the candidate has been a major contributor. The list of references should include 4 to 6 examples of similar projects, where "similar projects" means: • Projects involving major refurbishment works of bridges over open water. • Projects involving refurbishment or replacement of bridge bearings involving no less than 25 bearings. • Projects involving lifting of bridge decks or similar. A/S Storebælt reserves the right to request a list of references as well as further information regarding the references until the second meeting. Due to the consideration of resources, A/S Storebælt reserves the right to limit the number of participants after the first meeting. The selection of candidates will be done by A/S Storebælt based on the most relevant references stated in the list of references. Participants that are not invited to attend the second meeting or is not able to attend the second meeting will still be able to answer the questions from A/S Storebælt in writing and send the answers via eu-supply. All meetings will be in English - unless all the participants are Danish - then the meetings may be in Danish. All shared material will be in English and published on eu-supply.
