Dialogue regarding service and maintenance of synchronous machines/generators 200 Mvar and above

Energinet has five synchronous machines/generators in its plant-portfolio. Three of these machines/generators are manufactured by Siemens (commissioned in 2013 and 2015) and two are manufactured by NEBB (commissioned in 1964 and 1979). These machines/generators will be vital to the electricity supply in Denmark for the next 10-20 years. In this connection, Energinet would like to engage in dialogue regarding how to ensure an optimal service and maintenance of these machines/generators during the period, and further how to ensure an effective service and maintenance contract. The offer is expected to be announced at TED in the first quarter of 2025. Energinet Eltransmission – part of the Energinet group – hereby invites participants to a market dialogue regarding service and maintenance of the Energinet 200 Mvar synchronous machine/generator. Energinet has five synchronous machines/generators in its plant-portfolio. Three of these machines/generators are manufactured by Siemens (commissioned in 2013 and 2015) and two are manufactured by NEBB (commissioned in 1964 and 1979). These machines/generators will be vital to the electricity supply in Denmark for the next 10-20 years. Energinet wants to have a dialogue regarding how to ensure an optimal service and maintenance of these machines/generators during the period, and further how to ensure an effective service and maintenance contract. The maintenance tasks include service and maintenance of the synchronous machine/generator incl. auxiliary plants, which are carried out in accordance with the manuals and regulations that apply to the type of plant in question. The Siemens plants are air-cooled machines/generators, while the NEBB plants are hydrogen-cooled machines/generators. In this connection, Energinet would like to hear the views of potential suppliers on: • The methodical approach to the tender and form of contract prior to the actual tender • Commercial requirements and conditions for service and maintenance of this nature. • Scope of service and maintenance, including the use of special personnel • Responsibilities during service and maintenance • Supplier’s experience with extended condition assessment of synchronous machine/generator (above 100 Mvar). • Documentation and reporting of service and maintenance when this has been carried out. • Models for settlement – e.g. unit prices, hours and services included • Sustainability concerns in relation to carrying out the services and maintenance. Subcontract 1: Siemens machines/generators Service and maintenance of three (3) units regarding expected end of life 2055 include extended condition assessment for each machine in 2030-35. Subcontract 2: NEBB machines/generators Service and maintenance of two (2) nearly obsolete units until expected end of life approximately 2035-40.
