This advance notice is to provide the market and potential bidders with information about the upcoming tender for the construction of a facility that cleans purified wastewater for use in Power-to-X facilities. Before DIN Forsyning Teknisk Vand A/S initiates the tender, DIN Forsyning Teknisk Vand A/S wants a dialogue with the market with a view to preparing the tender and informing potential bidders about the project and the tender. Therefore, DIN Forsyning Teknisk Vand A/S invites all interested potential bidders to a preliminary market consultation meeting on Thursday, June 27th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. The meeting takes place at DIN Forsyning A/S, Ulvsundvej 1, 6715 Esbjerg N. Registration is required. In Denmark, the declared goal by 2030 of reducing CO2 emissions by 70% to combat climate change has led to an ambitious plan for Power-to-X, i.e. converting green renewable electricity into fuels (and more) for use in the hard-to-abate sectors, such as the industry, heavy transport, aviation, and shipping transport. DIN Forsyning Teknisk Vand A/S cooperates with companies that want to buy significant quantities of technical water. Technical water is a general term for water that has a different quality than drinking water. DIN Forsyning Teknisk Vand A/S decided to develop a large technical water project and enter into agreements with the companies that want to buy technical water. The technical water will have a quality as demineralized water. DIN Forsyning Teknisk Vand A/S has a vision to supply water of several technical qualities, according to what is desired by the various industrial customers in the area by utilizing purified wastewater supplemented with groundwater. This advance notice is to provide the market and potential bidders with information about the upcoming tender for the construction of a technical water facility. The upcoming tender will be carried out in accordance with the provisions on competitive procedure with negotiation, cf. the Danish Public Procurement Act. The Tender is planed to comprice of the complete delivery of a combined plant consisting of: Pure Water Treatment Plant; Reject Water Treatment Plant; buildings; and high voltage installations. The plant is called Technical Water Treatment Plant (TWTP). The TWTP is expected to be located in the immediate vicinity of DIN Forsyning A/S treatment plant East in Esbjerg N. From here, pipelines will be established to two future Power-to-X plants in Esbjerg. Work must also be done on the purification of return water/reject water - Reject/Recycled Water Treatment Plant (RWTP). It is expected to enter into a contract for the construction of TWTP and underground pipping in 2025, depending on FID (Final Investment Decision) for the hydrogen pipeline to Esbjerg and FID by the Power-to-X plants/customers. The contract will be based on FIDIC General Conditions.
