Beskrivelse
The object of the tender is to select an Investment Manager to provide investment management services for LD Pensions' assets within European Equities. LD Pensions is acting on behalf of its fully owned subsidiary Kapitalforeningen LD (KLD). The contract will be signed by KLD. The expected size of the mandate is DKK 1,500 million, approximately EUR 200 million. The investment objective is to outperform the benchmark MSCI Europe in net terms over a full market cycle. A description of the tender can be found in the Procurement Guidelines, and detailed characteristics of the desired mandate are located in the Investment Guidelines.

  • The award criterion “Quality of Services” with a weight of 85% will be evaluated on the basis of the following sub-criteria (noting that the percentage for each sub-criteria refers to the weight in the total score and not the weight of the award criterion): * Experience (5%), Chapter 3 of the TQ * Organisation and Human Resources (20%), Chapter 4 of the TQ * Investment Approach (20%), Chapter 5 of the TQ * ESG Integration (10%), Chapter 6 of the TQ * Performance (15%), Chapter 7 of the TQ * Risk Management and Compliance (5%), Chapter 8 of the TQ * Trade Execution (5%), Chapter 9 of the TQ * Operational Aspects (5%), Chapter 10 of the TQ Additional information can be found in the Procurement Guidelines.
  • The award criterion “Pricing and costs” with a weight of 15% will be evaluated on the basis of the following sub-criterion: * Fee (15%), chapter 11 of the TQ Additional information can be found in the Procurement Guidelines.

Beskrivelser af krav til deltagelse

  • It is a minimum requirement that the Manager must have positive shareholder equity as of December 31, 2025.
  • It is a minimum requirement that the Manager shall have an average net income after tax for the calendar years 2023, 2024 and 2025 above 0 OR a ratio of [shareholders equity as of year-end 2025] to [the absolute value of the most negative yearly net income after tax for the calendar years 2023, 2024 and 2025] of at least 5.0x. If the legal entity of the manager is less than three years old, data since launch should fulfil the requirement.
  • It is a minimum requirement that the Manager shall be authorised by a competent financial supervisory authority to provide discretionary portfolio management services in accordance with the provisions set out in the IMA, if such authorisation is required in the tenderer's country of domicile.
  • It is a minimum requirement that the Manager must present at least one reference in a segregated mandate for an active fundamental European Equity strategy with assets under management for governmental authorities, pension funds, insurance firms, treasury departments, central banks, endowment funds or supranational entities (collectively “Institutional Investors”).
  • It is a minimum requirement that the Manager shall have a live (not simulated) continuous track record of at least five (5) years in an active fundamental European Equity strategy.
  • It is a minimum requirement that the Manager practices active ownership including engaging with companies as part of their investment processes to influence positive change in terms of environmental, social and governance issues.
  • It is a minimum requirement that the lead Portfolio Manager proposed for this mandate must have minimum 5 years’ experience managing active, fundamental European Equity portfolios and ten years’ experience with fundamental equity analysis within the European region.
  • Experience: Applications from investment organizations with well-established asset management as well as stable and significant assets under management in the rele-vant segments and a solid and diverse client base achieve a high score. A heavy and focused emphasis on European equities is preferred. Experience has a weight of 20% in the selection of candidates.
  • Organisation and Human Resources: Applications from investment organizations with a stable and well-resourced employee base overall achieve a high score. Resources are evaluated based on tenure and experience. Organisation and Human Resources has a weight of 20% in the selection of candidates.
  • Investment Approach: Applications that through an existing reference portfolio can demonstrate experience managing European equities in a fashion similar to the requirements sought in the tender and described in Appendix 2, will receive a high score. Investment approach has a weight of 25% in the selection of candidates.
  • ESG Integration: Applications that through an existing reference portfolio can demonstrate experience integrating ESG in the portfolio management of European equities, achieve a high score. It is preferred that ESG considerations are applied with a view to creating value. The manager should be able to manage an exclusion list. ESG Integration has a weight of 15 % in the selection of candidates.
  • Performance: Applications with proof of solid annual performance history for an existing reference portfolio achieve a high score. Performance has a weight of 20% in the selection of candidates.
