Framework agreement regarding a Two Piece Flight Uniform to the Royal Danish Airforce. The Royal Danish Airforce flight crews operates today in many parts of the world, so the challenges in protection against different encountered climates are great. Design and technology have changed significantly since the introduction of the current CWU-27/P flight suit with matching jackets. In some areas such as comfort, ergonomics including protection and hygiene a Two Piece flight uniform is preferred. In particular, the need for optimum for ventilation is necessary as crews often works wearing heavy survival vests/body armor and a like. In connection with the new Two piece flight uniform, there will also be a need for a shell jacket as the most outer layer for the crew. The Two piece flight uniform is the crew members primary work attire and must along with the other parts of the uniform help to ensure that the operational capabilities can be maintained. To maintain the operational capabilities, the organizational use will be all the crew members (including Trainees for this Task) with Air Force Helicopter Wing (HW) and Air Transport Wing (ATW). Each crew member shall have up to 2 pants, 4 Combat shirts and 1 jacket depending on their duties/function. When units are deployed on INTOPS (International operations) and prolonged exercises, up to 4 pants and 5 combat shirts should be available for each crew member do to hygienic reasons and the possibility for washing/laundering the flight uniform. HW has about 260 permanent crew members, ATW has approximately 90 permanent crew members and squadron 660-HW has 60 crew members where up to 2 set of pants should be available, for medics work during transport with EH-101 Merlin Helicopter. The Flight Uniform should also accommodate a variety of important objects/tools in the pockets, etc. for the crew members.
