The role of a laboratory information management system in NGCTo assist with the tracking and handling of the samples (both regional and NGC samples) in the two laboratories, a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is to be implemented in production at each site. Each WGS facility is to install and run the LIMS independently from the other facility. The overall aim of the systems is to secure that the laboratories can plan, manage, document and assure quality of production, together with the tracking of samples, including their physical locations, reagents and so forth.
