Methods for Assessing Used Materials for Construction - Reuse of Construction Products

The purpose of this project is to support the safe, efficient and climate-optimised reuse of construction products by taking a step in the agenda of assessing the essential characteristics of used construction products in a manner similar to the Construction Product Regulation (CPR). It is sought to align Nordic approaches for selected construction product group(s) based on existing methods for assessment. The objective is to develop practical and applicable guidelines for selected construction product groups, enabling used construction products to be: • Assessed in comparison to relevant CPR performance characteristics • Documented using existing methods and standards • Having their essential characteristics declared, as far as possible in accordance with CPR methods. • Address digitalisation, data structures, interpretation and documentation practices, including how data will be structured, managed and aligned with future digital frameworks for selected products. The project’s focus but rather to identify already existing methods and practices across the Nordics and beyond and based on this knowledge propose the most optimal method. This could be a combination of method and maybe with some new adjustments. Price: 950.000 DKK excl. VAT The project is expected to commence end of June 2026 and conclude in end October 2027.
