Test of protective personal equipment - motorcycle airbag

When using the airbag vest the driver shall use a driving suit. In the user manual there is a guide how to choose the correct size of airbag and the driving suit. The guide shall ensure that there is enough space for the airbag to deploy safely inside the suit without damaging the user. We would like you to perform a physical test of the product, where the impact on the upper body of a “dummy” is measured during a deployment and infla-tion of the airbag. We would like an assessment of whether a sudden release of the airbag vest in an unfavorable position could cause internal injuries to the driver, e.g. broken ribs. The test should at least cover a test in an upright position and a forward-bend (prone) position where the upper body rests on the tank of the motor cycle. The product in question has undergone an EU type-examination Module B, Module C2 and holds a Declaration of Conformity according to the regulation for Personal Protective Equipment 2016/425. The test and investigation must be documented in a report and usable for an authority.
