Market dialogue for Test Data Infrastructure

The IT and Development Agency of the Danish Ministry of Taxation (UFST) hereby invites companies to a market dialogue concerning the purchase of a test data infrastructure to support cross system test data generation and distribution to run end-2-end test on different platforms and systems. The business wise test data scope are data for citizens, companies, real estates, apartments, ownership which are all used in taxation processes. For this, a commercial or best practice platform/product is sought to support the described usage. A market dialogue is desired to clarify the availability of products, platforms, services, and the capabilities offered by these. The Agency develops and maintains many systems implemented in different technologies and running on a multitude of platforms. At present the creation of test data and especially test data used for end-to-end test are a time consuming and manual process, due to business dependencies between systems where tight coordination of test data is critical and the many different scenarios that must be supported by the test data. Publish of test data for rerun of test and frequent regression test where data must be updated during test run, is also a complication for test data. For this, a commercial product or best practice solution is sought to support the described usage. A market dialogue is desired to clarify the availability of platform/product and the capabilities offered by these platforms/products (See also Appendix A). Description of potential dialogue topics and subjects: The Agency is looking for a solution for handling creation of test data. The solution must, among other things, offer the following: • Generate pseudonymised test data based on production data. • Generate consistent test data cross-system. • Support static and dynamic test data, where data is updated in one or more systems as part of the test run. • Include a test data self-service shop where test managers and testers can select and shop test data and control publishing of test data as part of the test execution. • Have a “test execution platform” that publishes test data to relevant systems during a test run. Test data includes static master data and data of a more transactional and dynamic kind.
